The Plurality of Elders

We believe...

​

• God appoints pastoral leaders to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ (Eph 4:12).

​

• God calls men specifically prepared by the Holy Spirit for the office of eldership (1 Timothy 3:1-7). As pastors, these men are responsible for prayer and studying the Word of God, for oversight of church affairs and to train the membership, helping to mature each member in their walk with Christ.

• Elders appoint deacons to help carry out the work of the ministry and to serve the body in meaningful and practical ways.(1 Timothy 3:8-13).
